Our journey introduces you to Bodegas (Wineries)
in the Alpujarras, it offers you the chance to enjoy a family run business
trying excellent Red, White, Rose Wines and Cava.
all made from a variety of grapes.
Accompanied by gorgeous freshly made tapas
fresh Olives, Almonds, fish and meat dishes traditionally made.
We offer to take you on a journey of fun, sunshine, a love of wine,
food and music showing you a view of life lived here in the Alpujarras.
You will visit vast and small wine cellars, Olive mills and cheese makers,
learn traditional methods of farming, seeing how modern ways have
enhanced their production.
Enjoy the evening watching the sunset over the mountains,
relax for dinner at the local bars and restaurants,
you will be entertained by local Flamenco guitarists from the
Gypsy families who have lived here for centuries.
If Walking is something you enjoy take the opportunity and explore the
many footpaths (more info in regards to the old roads) in the area, such as the GR7, A known ramblers route which starts in the North of Europe. Many people have trod these paths, including well known writers such as 'Gerald Brennan' writer of 'South of Granada'
A more recent known writer Chris Stewart, who wrote
'Driving over Lemons'.
Maps can be provided or take a guided tour and learn about the different plants, flowers and history of the area as you follow the paths.
Or if Riding is something you enjoy take a guided journey up the mountain slopes on horseback, picnicing around a campfire amongst the almonds, which blossom in January to March, as well as the
orange and olive groves.
